98.1 KHAK First Responder Friday Honors Ron Herman

Each Friday morning at 6:30 a.m., 98.1 KHAK's Brain & Courtlin pay tribute to an Eastern Iowa first responder. The weekly honoree receives a $25 gift card to Wild Hogs Saloon and Eatery in Walford and a $25 gift card to Honor and Respect.

This week we honor Ron Herman, who was nominated by his wife Amanda Herman. The entry reads:

My husband has served as a volunteer firefighter for Monticello for 5 years, a volunteer EMS driver for the Monticello Ambulance for 2 years, and previously served in Kentucky as a volunteer firefighter. There are some months that all his time outside his full-time job is spent volunteering.
