Brain and Courtlin’s ‘First Responder Friday’ Honors Gage Wilson

Every Friday morning at 6:30 a.m., Brain & Courtlin pay tribute to an Eastern Iowa first responder during their 'First Responder Friday' segment! The weekly honoree receives a $25 gift card to Wild Hogs Saloon and Eatery in Walford and a $25 gift card to Honor and Respect.

Today's honoree is Gage Wilson, who was nominated by his mom, Alicia Wilson. The entry reads:

My son Gage is very dedicated to his role in the volunteer Department . He is very active in going on most all the calls. He helps with the ambulance calls, too. He is always there to lend a helping hand for our community. He goes above and beyond in helping anyone he can . He joined the department when he was 18 and is now 26 and is still going strong. He deserves a shout out for his hard work and determination. (Even if its from his mom) Sometimes we forget what they have to see and endure during some horrific calls and that can take a toll on them all. I wanted him to know how very proud I am of him. And his late grandpa (who was cheif for many years in our small community ) would also be very proud of him for carrying on the legacy. Love a very proud mom.
