Teacher of the Week — January 29th

Congratulations to this week’s winner, Francy Schares at Grant Elementary in Cedar Rapids!

She was nominated by Kim Tipton. She wrote:

"My son has down syndrome and Mrs. Schares was his kindergarten teacher at Madison. She does an amazing job encouraging her students to include everyone and gets down on their level, participating in activities and making sure they are reaching their full potential. Her willingness to include Andrew and celebrate differences has carried over with him year after year as his class continues to embrace him."
