98.1 KHAK First Responder Friday Honors Dan Frank

Every Friday morning at 6:30 a.m., 98.1 KHAK's Brain & Courtlin pay tribute to an Eastern Iowa first responder during our 'First Responder Friday' segment! The weekly honoree receives a $25 gift card to Wild Hogs Saloon and Eatery in Walford and a $25 gift card to Honor and Respect.

Today we're honoring Dan Frank, who was nominated by Vivean and Kyleigh Graham! The entry reads:

"We nominate our stepdad Dan Frank for First Responder Friday. Our stepdad has been a volunteer firefighter on the Anamosa Fire Department for just over 15 years. We have watched him drop everything when the pager goes off and unselfishly give his time and knowledge to each and every call, all while making sure our community is safe. Sometimes it is hard when he doesn’t show up or he needs to leave during games, parent teacher conferences, birthday parties, or other holidays, but we understand that he is needed elsewhere. We are proud of him and his dedication to our community! He is our hero and we are lucky to have such an amazing role model in our lives!"
