Brain & Courtlin’s ‘First Responder Friday’ Honors David Husmann

Every Friday morning at 6:30 a.m., Brain & Courtlin pay tribute to an Eastern Iowa first responder during their 'First Responder Friday' segment! The weekly honoree receives a $25 gift card to Wild Hogs Saloon and Eatery in Walford and a $25 gift card to Honor and Respect.

Today, we're honoring David Husmann, who was nominated by Annie Sullivan. The entry reads:

Dave has been on the Monticello Fire Department for the last 16 years. He teaches CPR/FIRST AID. He also works full-time as a critical care paramedic and part-time as a flight medic. Dave has given so much time back to his community and loves every bit of it. He lives on a small farm in Monticello, where he raises goats, and in his spare time, he spends time with his 7-year-old daughter and 2 nieces. He is the best Dad, brother, uncle, anyone could ever ask for. As his sister, I look up to him and could only wish to be half the person he is someday, sincerely his favorite sister :)
