When we meet our furry friends on 'Furry Fridays', the dogs come from a variety of different places. Over the course of the last year, we've featured many dogs that have been rescued from areas like Texas that were hit hard by floods. Those areas had an influx of pets that needed adopting so shelters in places like Iowa did what they could to help. But sometimes shelters right here near home need help with overcrowding too. Safe Haven of Iowa County recently took in a couple of dogs from a shelter in Washington, Iowa due to overcrowding. One of them was our friend Taffy! Taffy is about 1 year old and came from a situation where she was among A LOT of dogs. She's a little skittish at first but once she warms up she's your friend for life!

She has a nice short and shiny coat and her eyes will melt your soul! She does have that puppy energy so get ready to be active! You can contact Safe Haven to find out more information on Taffy and how you can bring her home to your family today!
