The Iowa State men's basketball team has once again been bitten by the injury bug, as one of its star players has suffered a significant injury.

Cyclone Point Guard Suffers Injury

The Des Moines Register is reporting that several sources confirm that Iowa State men's basketball player Killyan Toure has suffered a shoulder injury. Toure reportedly suffered the injury while participating in NBA star Damian Lillard's elite camp in Salt Lake City. The severity of the injury is not being reported, but the Register says that it is believed that it will keep Toure off the court for some amount of time.

An Important Piece for Iowa State in 2026

As a freshman, Toure averaged 8 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 2.3 steals per game for the Cyclones, and established himself as one of the premier defenders in the nation, according to the Register. He is expected to take over as the primary ball handler for Iowa State, with former point guard Tamin Lipsey playing professionally.

Toure is also seen as a potential NBA Draft pick in the coming years. The Register reports that Iowa State has not publicly commented on Toure's injury.
