98.1 KHAK First Responder Friday Honors Jessica Barnhart

Every Friday morning at 6:30 a.m., 98.1 KHAK's Brain & Courtlin pay tribute to an Eastern Iowa first responder during our 'First Responder Friday' segment! The weekly honoree receives a $25 gift card to Wild Hogs Saloon and Eatery in Walford and a $25 gift card to Honor and Respect.

Today we're honoring Jessica Barnhart, who was nominated by Allison Green! The entry reads:

"She is always thinking of other people, especially her students. She has dedicated her life to doing her best to build trust with families who otherwise would never trust law enforcement. She has given families beds, food, and Christmas gifts, provided hotels for homeless citizens, and given free senior photos to families who cannot afford them, among other things. She deserves this."

Congratulations to Jessica! We thank you for your dedication and service to our community!
