98.1 KHAK First Responder Friday Honors Devin Arduser

Every Friday morning at 6:30, 98.1 KHAK's Brain & Courtlin pay tribute to an Eastern Iowa first responder during our 'First Responder Friday' segment! The weekly honoree receives a $25 gift card to Wild Hogs Saloon and Eatery in Walford and a $25 gift card to Honor and Respect.

Today we're honoring Devin Arduser, who was nominated by Drew Haag! The entry reads:

"Devin Arduser has dedicated himself to serving the Monticello community as both a firefighter with the Monticello Fire Department and a driver for the Monticello Ambulance Service. Whether rushing into a burning building or ensuring EMTs arrive safely at the scene of a medical emergency, Devin is always ready to answer the call. He is hardworking, dependable, and committed to protecting those around him, often sacrificing his own time to help others. His ability to remain calm under pressure and work seamlessly with his team makes him an invaluable part of Monticello’s first responder network.

Monticello has faced tragedy many times over the past couple of years, and more often than not, Devin is the one responding to those calls, doing so with a sense of calmness and compassion. As a lifelong Monticello resident, he often knows those who are requesting services, and he takes the time to make personal connections, ensuring those in need feel cared for and safe."
