Courtlin, Danielle, and I agree. It's time we adopt an official KHAK station dog. We are visited by so many great dogs during our 'Furry Friday' segments that picking a station dog would be no easy task. How do you choose among all the cuteness? But we might have just found him this week. We got to meet Rover. He is a 2-year-old hound, pit mix. He's a big boy, but he is a gentle giant! And don't even get us started about those brown puppy dog eyes! We all fell in love with Rover right away. He ate treats right out of our hands and was gentle in doing so. He already knows some basic commands and gets along with other dogs, and get this, cats too! Just because of his size, he would do best in a home with older kids. Rover is currently available for adoption at Last Hope in Cedar Rapids. But you better hurry. We're still lobbying Bob James to let us adopt him as the official KHAK station dog! Needless to say, we loved Rover! Take him home!
