98.1 KHAK First Responder Friday Honors Stephen Swaffer

Each Friday morning at 6:30 a.m., 98.1 KHAK's Brain & Courtlin pay tribute to an Eastern Iowa first responder. The weekly honoree receives a $25 gift card to Wild Hogs Saloon and Eatery in Walford and a $25 gift card to Honor and Respect.

Today we honor Stephen Swaffer, who was nominated by Vicktoria Entsminger! The entry reads:

"Stephen is first to ask what is needed while on scene and is not afraid to get his hands dirty. His cool, calm, collected manner in any high stress situation is just one of many reasons why he is a great addition to our department. He trains hard and works hard, and it does not go unnoticed. We appreciate your dedication and commitment to Washington Fire, not only as a firefighter, but as an EMT. Thank you for all you do, all the lives you have changed, and all the lives saved!"
