98.1 KHAK First Responder Friday Honors Kyle Pierson

Each Friday morning at 6:30 a.m., 98.1 KHAK's Brain & Courtlin pay tribute to an Eastern Iowa first responder. The weekly honoree receives a $25 gift card to Wild Hogs Saloon and Eatery in Walford and a $25 gift card to Honor and Respect.

Today we honor Kyle Pierson, who was nominated by Patty Booth! The entry reads:

"Kyle has a full time job, yet volunteers his time to the Ely Fire Department and to Mount Vernon Ambulance. He can be up all night caring for people and then work all day, but he loves it and always smiles about it. He is very compassionate and empathetic. He selflessly volunteers his time for the safety and betterment of our community. Kyle also actively participates in training to obtain and retain skills needed for these positions. We need more people like Kyle in the world."
