Courtlin Did Goat Yoga on Saturday Morning [PHOTOS]
I didn't think I could love yoga any more than I already do, but I was wrong.
Earlier this year I made the decision to start doing yoga again, and it's been one of the best decisions I've ever made. Not only am I stronger physically, but I'm stronger mentally, as well. The benefits of yoga are truly endless, and I could go on talking about them forever, but I'll save you the lengthy speech (this time).
This weekend I tried something that I've been seeing a lot of videos for online: Goga. What is Goga, you ask? It's GOAT YOGA!
For those of you wondering what exactly goat yoga entails, basically you do yoga in a pen full of goats. The goats they use are a smaller type, so they are easily able to interact with you during class. They fall asleep on your mat, sit in your lap, walk underneath you, and even climb up on your back and stomach during certain poses. They're kind of like puppies! It was a little difficult to focus on the yoga aspect at times, because really you just want to play with the cute little goats, but that was part of the challenge.
The class I attended was at Coco's Ranch in Palo, and it cost me $18. It was the best $18 I've ever spent. We did the class outdoors, and the goats were absolutely adorable (even though one of them pooped on my mat). It's a very laid back environment with a whole lot of laughter. They even let us take photos during the class. The tricky part is getting in, because the classes fill up very fast. We had to book several weeks in advance. If you're interested in trying out goat yoga, you can visit the Coco's Ranch Facebook page for more information.
