A Monday snowstorm that dumped around five inches of snow on the city of Cedar Rapids also spurred accidents all across the state of Iowa. An accident on I-380 northbound at Highway 30, killed two men in their 20's.

The Cedar Rapids Police Department reports 24-year-old Jacolby Jesse Burks of Cedar Rapids and 21-year-old Devion Martel Luster of Dixon, Illinois were both pronounced dead at the scene Monday morning. Burks was in the front seat, and Luster in the back. 25-year-old DeShawn Woods of Cedar Rapids was in the front passenger seat. He was taken to Unity Point-St. Luke's Hospital with serious injuries, after initially being treated at the scene.

Police say Burks was driving the vehicle northbound on I-380 when the 2007 Mercury Montego he was driving left the road and hit a pillar support of the bridge overpass. Accident investigators with the C.R. Police Department determined that Burks lost control due to the interstate being covered with snow at the time.
