A deadly crash over the weekend on Interstate 380 has claimed the life of an Eastern Iowa teenager.

CBS2 reports that the Iowa State Patrol was called to the southbound lanes of I-380 just north of North Liberty at around 12:30 a.m. Saturday morning. When they arrived, they discovered a vehicle had gone off the roadway and hit a concrete barrier. The driver was ejected from the vehicle which then burst into flames. CBS2 reports that officials say the driver of the vehicle has been identified as 17-year-old Kaden Blair of Swisher. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to a GoFundMe Page, Blair had already graduated from Cedar Rapids Prairie High School and had enrolled in pre-med classes at the University of Iowa. The money raised on the page will go towards funeral services. Any extra will be used to sponsor a student in the pre-med program in honor of Kaden.

Authorities are still looking for the cause of the crash.
