Earlier this week, Cedar Rapids' newest sports bar held a soft opening for customers!

As of February 9th, Scores on 33rd is open for business at 3287 6th St SW in Cedar Rapids. The new restaurant took over the space that was once home to Pei's Mandarin after its closure last summer. The folks behind the new bar have been hard at work renovating the interior and exterior these last few months, even adding an outdoor patio for the spring and summer months!

The Scores on 33rd website promises sports fans the perfect place to enjoy watching the game. It reads:

"We believe in good times and great service, offering a full bar, good food, and 45 TVs all playing sports for your viewing pleasure! We started this business to provide our community with a great place to kick back and enjoy the game with friends."

As far as food goes, the official menu has been posted to the Scores Facebook page. It offers some of your typical bar fare, like wings, burgers, and nachos, but there are also some items on there you may not expect. You'll be able to try pork belly skewers or tacos, flash-fried brussel sprouts, a variety of flatbread pizzas, beer brats, a catfish po boy, loaded mac & cheese, roasted bacon herb chicken, and more.

Scores on 33rd's hours are listed on their website as Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., Friday & Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., but since they are just getting started, hours may vary. You can check out the latest update from the sports bar on Facebook HERE.
