Courtlin Explores the Cedar Valley 2026 — Part 9 [PHOTOS]
I cut it pretty close this month, but I still managed to check another Cedar Valley restaurant off my list as part of my 2026 New Year's resolution! For the month of September, we decided to do something a little different. Instead of visiting a sit-down restaurant, we opted to check out a mall food court. On Friday night, we took a trip over to the Mall at College Square to check out Oh My Grill Burgers.

About Oh My Grill Burgers
Oh My Grill, also known as 'OMG,' first opened at 2020 College St in Cedar Falls in the spring of 2019. Then, after six years in business, they announced a big change on social media. OMG decided to completely switch up their menu, and would no longer offer burgers and fries. They reopened as a Mediterranean restaurant on April 29th of 2025, offering items like shawarma, falafel, pita wraps, samosas, baklava, and more.
At the time of their original announcement, Oh My Grill assured customers that their burgers would not be gone for good. They made good on that promise one year later, when they announced the return of OMG Burgers at a new location. That new location just opened back in June, and that's where we headed for our monthly dinner in the Cedar Valley this weekend!
What We Ate
All three of us ended up ordering different burgers at Oh My Grill, but all of our meals had one thing in common: Garlic Mayo Fries. I had read some rave reviews about the homemade garlic mayo sauce online, so we all ended up choosing the fries for a side. They were as delicious as everyone said they were!
As far as burgers go, I played it safe and went with the standard Bacon Cheddar Burger. It was huge, and the bacon was so thick! It was definitely a great choice, but next time I've got my eye on the the Walk-in-Taco Burger.

My two friends ordered a couple of different types of burgers of the non-meat variety. The vegetarian one went with the Beyond Wonder Burger, and the other tried one of the black bean burgers (pictured below). I didn't end up tasting either of them, but they both really enjoyed their choices!

A mall food court isn't exactly where you'd expect to find high-quality burgers and fries, but I think OMG Burgers is the exception. Everything was made fresh to order, so we did have to wait a bit longer than you normally would at a food court, but we knew that going in so we didn't mind. It was worth the wait!
