Our first freeze over the weekend made it official, Autumn has officially put us in its grip and the holidays are right around the corner. This year, we're teaming up with several great organizations to help make it a wonderful holiday season for local kids.

Here at KHAK, we know the holidays are a difficult time for many and high costs fueled by inflation will make this year an even larger challenge. We've teamed up with YouthPort for their 2022 Toy Drive to benefit local kids through Tanager Place, Boys & Girls Clubs of the Corridor, and the Young Parents Network. Combined, the three organizations have served area youths for nearly 210 years.

The YouthPort Holiday Toy Drive hopes to provide gifts for more than 1,000 local kids,  from birth through high school, this holiday season. You can help in two different ways.

There will be gift wishlists from the children from Target, Walmart, and Amazon. The Amazon list is available here. *We'll be posting the Target and Walmart lists as soon as they are available.

Once gifts are purchased, they can be dropped off (new and unwrapped) at any of the locations at the bottom of this story through Monday, December 5.

*If you'd rather make a monetary donation, you can do that here.

Thank you in advance for your help in assuring this holiday season will be a great one for more area kids.
