Winter Weather Returns To Eastern Iowa

It's been a pretty nice January, hasn't it? Over the weekend, temperatures hit 50 degrees in some parts of the state! Well, winter had to return sometime and depending on where you live, it could happen in a big way later today.

Portions of the listening area are under a Winter Weather advisory while other counties are under a Winter Storm warning. Snow fall amounts will be greater north of Highway 20 with accumulations of 3 to 6 inches.

The outlook for the Cedar Rapids and Iowa City area right now is only calling for a trace to 1 inch of new snow. Stay tuned for forecast updates from our friends at CBS2!
