Iowa’s Win Over Michigan Brings College GameDay Back to Iowa City
There was a lot of chatter last week about whether or not ESPN's College GameDay would return to Iowa City. All Iowa had to do was top Michigan, and surely Pat McAfee and friends wouldn't be able to run down a trip to Iowa City. What? Only 2 seconds left on the clock? No problem!
Thanks to that amazing Hank Brown-to-Reece Vander Zee touchdown pass, the Hawkeyes knocked off Michigan in the Big House, and GameDay is coming to town!
College GameDay Will Return to Iowa City
CBS2 reports that ESPN's College GameDay is returning to Iowa City for the first time in 20 years. The show will air live ahead of Iowa's top-20 showdown against Ohio State this Saturday at a sold-out Kinnick Stadium!
Where Will College GameDay Be Located?
That is one question that isn't known quite yet. The on-campus location hasn't been announced yet, according to CBS2. But no matter where it is held, Iowa fans are encouraged to get there early. The University of Iowa has already stated that overnight camping will not be allowed.
When Does College GameDay Air?
The three hour pregame show will air live on ESPN from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. The show is hosted by Reece Davis along with Kirk Herbstreit, Pat McAfee, Desmond Howard, and former Alabama coach Nick Saban.
As for the game itself, the Hawkeyes and Buckeyes showdown can be seen on CBS on Saturday, October 3rd, with kickoff scheduled for 2:30 p.m.
