Winner Revealed in Our $5,000 Diamond Contest

There's a lot of great things about my job but high on my list of favorite things to do is give away big prizes. That's exactly what we did this morning at Kay Jewelers at Outlets Williamsburg.

Beginning on Thanksgiving night, we started qualifying listeners online for the chance to win a $5,000 diamond! All this week, we also gave you the opportunity to call in to qualify for today's grand prize event. As you can see, those qualifiers showed up in force this morning, hoping it was their lucky day.

Over the course of a few minutes, we whittled down our contingent of qualifiers until only the four (at top) were still eligible to win. Our reverse drawing eventually got down to these two gentlemen. Click the video below to see the winner revealed.

Congrats to Jon R. of Ely. His wife wasn't able to come along this morning but he assured us she would be the lucky recipient. Proving he's not just a lucky guy, but a smart one as well, Jon said he was going to wait to let her pick out what the $5,000 diamond goes in. Good call, Jon, and congratulations!
