If your weekend starts on a Thursday, join K-Hawk's Brain for country night at the Marion Uptown Getdown this Thursday night starting at 6 p.m. in Marion Square Park.“8 Seconds” performs this week and Brain will also sign you up to win Alan Jackson tickets.

Friday, 7 - 10 p.m.
Start your weekend early and check out Cedar Rapids' longest-running jazz concert series as it celebrates its 30th anniversary at McGrath Amphitheatre.

Friday night, 5 - 11 p.m. (goes through Saturday)
There's always something going on at the Hiawatha Fun Fest! The festivities kick off on Friday night with a Concert in the Park featuring 8 Seconds and a Movie Under the Moon from 9-11 p.m.

This event is held every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday through October 13. Plants, flowers, fruits and veggies, dog treats, crafts, and more are available at the market located on the corner of Collins Road and Council Street NE.

Saturday 11:30 a.m.- 10 p.m.
This event is a FREE Christian music festival for all ages that's headed to Hawkeye Downs Expo Center.

Friday & Saturday, fireworks start at 9 :30 p.m.
Boomtown in Vinton is described on their site as "an Earth-shaking pyrotechnic experience you will not soon forget." The best part is that it's FREE to watch! Be sure to get there early to get some good seats and stop by and see KHAK's Courtlin from 5-7 p.m.!

Saturday, bike ride from 1 - 6 p.m.
This is the 3rd year for the fun bar to bar bike ride on the Cedar River Trail to support Feeding America Operation: BackPack.
