The Weirdest Popcorn Flavors Available in Eastern Iowa [PHOTOS]
Just a couple of weeks ago, my family and I visited the Amana Colonies for Oktoberfest. While we were out and about, we stopped into the Amana Colonies Popcorn and Ice Cream Company to grab a snack. We were all blown away by the number of different popcorn flavors they have available!
According to their website, Amana Colonies Popcorn and Ice Cream Company offers more than 50 different varieties of gourmet popcorn, many of which I've never seen anywhere else. Here are ten of the most unusual flavors that they have available:
- Loaded Baked Potato Popcorn - "It's popcorn with all the toppings that are on a baked potato."
- Dill Pickle Popcorn
- Crazy Cornfetti - "A marvelous mix of fruity flavored popcorn. Flavors include Banana, Blueberry, Strawberry, etc."
- BBQ Popcorn - "A bold and saucy BBQ sauce coats our popcorn"
Speaking of unusual popcorn flavors, Almost Famous Popcorn Company in Cedar Rapids has some interesting ones, too! Some of the ones listed on their website include:
- Bacon Cheddar - "Deep and smoky bacon flavor enhances the cheddar cheese coating of this hometown favorite."
- Bourbon Spiked Salted Caramel - "An elevation to our caramel popcorn, this flavor balances a rich taste of bourbon with course ground sea salt."
- Crunchberry Day - "Our mouth-watering, white chocolate covered homage to the men and women who make this tasty cereal."
- Fire Breathing Dragon - "A savory explosion of flavor, followed by heat from every major pepper and ghost pepper oil."
- Pizza Roll - "Great family pizza joints put just about anything and everything on a pizza – we put the pizza into the popcorn on this one."
- Root Beer Barrel - "You will swear you just unwrapped that brown barrel from the candy dish and popped it in your mouth."
