It's going to be a busy few days in Central City beginning next Wednesday! The Linn County Fair will be kicking off on June 27th and running through Monday, July 2nd. This year's event is going to be HUGE, with all sorts of food, shows, live music, competitions, and a whole lot more. But, all those activities mean that the fair is in need of volunteers to help out.

According to KCRG, "the Linn County Fair has over 100 shifts that help the fair function." Since the festivities kick off in just about a week, they are looking to get those shifts filled ASAP! As listed on Linn County Fair website, here are the positions that volunteers are still needed for:

  • First Aid Station
  • Gate Building Monitor
  • Security- Grounds Roamer
  • Shuttle Driver
  • Cock-A-Doodle Zoo Volunteer
  • Lynn Dunn Memorial Building Host
  • Beer Tent Entrance Monitor
  • Grandstand Entrance Monitor
  • Security- Grandstand
  • Youth Day Volunteer
  • Grandstand Pit Entrance Ticket Takers
  • Grandstand Ticket Taker/Scanner
  • Grounds Pickup

All Linn County Fair volunteers who work for four or more hours will receive a t-shirt and a free appetizer from Texas Roadhouse.
