Take a Road Trip to this Huge Iowa General Store
The next time you're driving through Southeastern Iowa, you may want to make a pit stop here!
Over in Bloomfield, Iowa is a cool place called the Dutch Country General Store. It's hard to miss, because it's located inside a HUGE red barn!
According to their website, Dutch County General Store is "a popular tourist stop, home to nostalgic items that bring back memories of simpler times." It's owned by Levi and Erica Good, who purchased the two-story barn back in 2012. In addition to having the largest toy selection in Southern Iowa, the store also sells bulk candy, kitchenware, accessories, furniture, home decor, personal care items, and all sorts of different foods!
It also looks like an awesome place to visit during the holidays!
If you're not able to make the trip to Bloomfield, Dutch County General Store has a second location in Hannibal, Missouri, as well as a huge online selection HERE.
Dutch Country General Store is located at 17192 Highway 2 in Bloomfield, Iowa, which is a little over a two hour drive from Cedar Rapids. It's open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. If you do decide to visit, I would definitely give yourself plenty of time to look around, because the selection is massive!
