Staff Shortages Hit Eastern Iowa Waterpark, Forcing Closures
Families hoping to cool off spend a little more time together at one of Eastern Iowa's coolest and most popular attractions as the summer heats up and winds down will have fewer opportunities to book it.
Staff shortages have prompted Lost Island Waterpark in Waterloo to make the announcement to close on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, according to KWWL.
Recently ranked as the #2 waterpark by USA Today, park officials posted on Facebook:
Due to challenges maintaining critical staffing levels, the waterpark will be closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays for the remainder of the season. Golf and Go-karts will remain open regular hours. We regret to make this decision but guest safety is our top priority. We appreciate your understanding as we navigate this difficult time.
The waterpark will be closed: August 3rd, 4th, 10th, 11th, 17th, & 18th
