Cedar Rapids Restaurant Announces It Will Close In October

The bad news? Another Cedar Rapids restaurant will stop regular service. The good news? It is transitioning to a different kind of business.

The Future of Peppercorn At The Bank

Peppercorn at the Bank opened as a restaurant in 2024. Located inside a historic Cedar Rapids bank building, the restaurant served made-from-scratch dishes that included everything from sea bass to steak. But according to a Facebook post, Peppercorn at the Bank will soon cease to be a restaurant. The final day for regular restaurant service will be October 29th.

What Is Next for Peppercorn at the Bank?

The post states that while they are ending restaurant service, the Bank will remain open for events like private dinners, rehearsal dinners, and corporate events. They also plan on hosting community dinners and other unique dining experiences.

The post reveals that the Bank's catering business has grown fast and has reached a point where they need to focus full-time on its continued growth. While October 29th is the final day for the restaurant, Peppercorn at the Bank will also be closed on the following days.

• September 7th - Labor Day
• September 30th and October 1st - catering commitments
• October 20th - private event

Patrons are encouraged to come to the Bank one final time prior to October 29th and also use up any gift cards they may have.

While the restaurant may soon be gone, Peppercorn Food Company will still be around, creating amazing dishes in the Corridor.
