Oktoberfest is Happening This Weekend in the Amana Colonies

There are lots of great Oktoberfest celebrations happening in Iowa this fall (which you can read about HERE), but our favorite here in our part of the state is coming up this weekend!

Oktoberfest in the Amana Colonies will take place this Friday through Sunday, October 4th through 6th. It is one of the longest-running festivals in Iowa, getting its start back in 1965. There's lots of food, games, and live entertainment to look forward to. Oh, and the beer! Here is everything you need to know about Oktoberfest 2019:

- Free off-site parking/shuttle at the Amana RV Park - Saturday from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m.

  - Ceremonial Tapping of the Keg - 2 p.m. at the Festhalle Barn
  - Live music on the Festhalle Stage from 12 p.m. to 12 a.m.
  - Dogs on Skis at Millstream Brewery - 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
  - Mamma Mia! at Old Creamery Theatre - 7:30 p.m.

  - Parade - 10 a.m.
