New Cedar Rapids Kwik Star Location Will Open Next Week

The newest Kwik Star location in Cedar Rapids officially has a grand opening date! I couldn't be happier, because this Kwik Star is right on my way to work every morning! Can anyone say, "fresh glazer donuts"?

Cedar Rapids Kwik Star Opening Next Week

Late last year, Kwik Star announced that it would be building its 10th Cedar Rapids store at 4001 1st Ave. SE. The newly build convience store will sit right between Tommy's Car Wash and the old Outback Steakhouse location. According to Kwik Star's list of store grand openings, the wait is almost over, as the 1st Ave location will open on February 26th at 5 a.m.!

The Corridor Business Journal reports that the new Kwik Star will have eight fueling stations and a 5,500 square foot store. What this Kwik Star will NOT have is a car wash, which makes sense since Tommy's is right next door.

Things I love about Kwik Star. Did I mention the glazer donuts? My kids love the huge chicken tenders, they have super clean bathrooms, and no-fee ATMs! Plus, they're a great follow on social media.

Why Are Stores Called Kwik Star in Iowa?

For those that don't know, Kwik Star is called Kwik Trip in Wisconsin and other states. When they expanded to Iowa, there was already a convenience store chain called Quick Trip, so Kwik Star was born! I can't wait to visit the new 1st. Ave location in Cedar Rapids for the first time next week! Until then, "See you next time!"
