KHAK’s Teacher of the Week — September 9th

Teacher of the week is officially BACK for the 2016 school year, and it's time to honor our very first winner!

Congratulations to Susan Mattmiller of Belle Plaine Community Schools, this week's 'Teacher of the Week." Susan was nominated by a whole bunch of people, and here's what they had to say:

She has extreme patience when it comes to helping her students. - Jenna DeJong

Mattmiller is a host family for our foreign exchange student. She is a veteran for the U.S. Army. She is very nice, caring, and understanding teacher. She's always there for the students if we need someone to talk to. All the students love her. - Kaitlyn Plumb

Ms. Mattmiller is a very understanding teacher. She is always thinking of her students when it comes deadlines and what the students schedule is. She also is great about rewarding her students when they do extra work or do good on tests in her class. - Josey Peterson

She cares very much about each student making sure they are doing their work as well as understand it. As a veteran she has many good stories as well, it's really fun talking to her. She is the best teacher that I have ever had. - Christian Duncan
