Golf is such a wonderful game.

You can enjoy a day outside soaking up some sun with your buddies, significant others, or family members. You can enjoy a quick solo round if you want some "me" time and relax with headphones and your golf clubs.

What makes golf so unique is you never really know what you're going to see on the course. Most popular sports are played in some kind of confined area, whether it's a fenced-in field, a building, an arena, or a stadium. Every once in a while you might see a rogue squirrel on a baseball field but it doesn't happen incredibly often.

Golf courses are normally built, smack dab, in the middle of a big plot of land. You can run into all kinds of wild animals on a golf course. Depending on the location of the course, you can see deer, eagles, raccoons, black bears, coyotes, snakes, alligators, kangaroos, etc.

I've seen tons of animals in my 20+ years of playing golf but I've never seen something like this! Is there a pack of wild horses galavanting in the Waterloo area? I give credit to the gentleman teeing off. He didn't let this distract him at all and it sounds like he hit one dead straight!

Whoops!

This video was posted to the Iowa Chill Instagram from the South Hills Golf Course in Waterloo. Sadly, I don't think many wild horses are roaming around the Waterloo area but it would still be a pretty incredible sight to see during a golf round.

Judging by the comments from the video, someone posted that these were her horses and they escaped. I can't guarantee that is the case but I'm not sure why this person would lie about it. It appears someone might have forgotten to lock a gate.

Imagine getting ready to tee off during a golf round and all of a sudden you hear a rumble off into the distance. As you look to your right, you see 5 or 6 horses going for an afternoon jog. Maybe they went into town to get some pizza from Casey's? Maybe they were hoping for just a quick 20 minutes of free-roaming and planned on returning home before their mom got home from work.

I grew up in Minneapolis and have never owned horses but I'd imagine this would be an absolute nightmare trying to get them back home. Let me know in the comments what you're supposed to do if/when this happens.

I'm not sure if I'd put down the Busch Light at that point or shotgun one right on the spot if I saw this. You never really know what you're going to see on the golf course!
