The Most Outrageous Restaurants in the US
Yelp has come out with their top 10 most outrageous restaurants of 2026, and coming in at number 5 is SafeHouse in Milwaukee. It'll be pretty easy to understand why in a moment.
How to Get Into SafeHouse in Milwaukee, WI
When you walk into SafeHouse through the red door in the alley, you'll need to know the password to get in.

I'm not sure how you figure out the password, but there was one speakeasy my husband and I went to in Arizona, where you needed to either find the password on their website or sign up for their email updates to get the new password emailed to you each month. I wonder if SafeHouse has something similar...
If you don't have the password, though, no worries, they'll still let you in, but they may make you do a funny dance or activity in front of other people.

Once you're inside, you'll find that the spy/speakeasy theme doesn't end at the front door.
There are Cold War artifacts, the world's largest mechanical puzzle, spy memorabilia everywhere, a disappearing booth, and even a secret exit so your departure is covert. They even have magicians there putting on shows.
You can find the red door on Front Street along the Milwaukee River. Good luck!
