Easter is only a month away, and there are plenty of fun activities happening for both kids AND adults leading up to the holiday!

There are a lots of churches in the local area that are holding Easter egg hunts and Easter celebrations for their parishioners, but here are some of the other events happening in the Corridor and beyond:

Easter Egg Extravaganza

  • Featuring egg hunts for three different age groups, photos with the Easter Bunny, games, activities, and more

Easter Eggstravaganza

  • Saturday, April 1st from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
  • "Get a photo with the Easter Bunny, get creative with spring-inspired coloring pages, enjoy cookies and beverages, and stick around for an Easter egg hunt!
    Easter egg hunts will be outside, and divided by age! Please bring your own basket!"

Fairfax Easter Egg Dash

  • Fairfax Regional Sports & Park Complex
  • Saturday, April 1st from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
  • "Fairfax Little Free Libraries will have their traveling library on hand and distribute free books to both children and adults. Stop by and pick up a complimentary "Reading Buddy" plushie, treats for your pooch, flower and vegetable seeds for your garden, and much more."

Easter Egg Hunt

  • Palo Community Center
  • Saturday, April 1st from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
  • "There will be a special areas for children 2 and under, 3-4, 5-7 and 8 & up. There will be hundreds of eggs stuffed with candy along with small prizes and 1 Grand Prize winner in each age group this year! There will be some indoor activities this year after the eggstravaganza as well as an opportunity for a photo with the EASTER BUNNY!"

Cedar Valley Park Easter Egg Hunt

Annual Alburnett Fire Grill and Easter Egg Hunt

  • Alburnett Fire Station
  • Saturday, April 1st from 11 a.m. to 2:30 a.m.
  • "We will start serving at 11am, menu is hamburgers, brats, hot dogs, baked beans, chips and a dessert. The Easter Bunny will arrive on a fire truck at 1pm and the egg hunt will begin at that time!"

Adult Easter Egg Hunt

  • Sunday, April 2nd from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.
  • "We will only be hiding 75 eggs! Each egg will contain a code that coincides to a certain prize. What you have won will only be revealed when you bring it up to the tasting bar. Only one egg will be allowed per person."

Indoor Easter Egg Extravaganza

  • GreenState Family Fieldhouse, Coralville
  • Sunday, April 2nd from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
  • "Join us for this INDOOR family favorite featuring fun Easter-themed games, crafts & activities, photos with the Easter Bunny, and a GIANT EGG GRAB of 5,000+ eggs! This year's event will feature two time slots, helping to alleviate large crowds and long lines. Both time slots will have exactly the same activities, including the giant egg grab at the end (around 2:15 for the first group, and 3:45 for the second group)."

EGGstravaganza Underwater Egg Hunt

  • North Liberty Recreation Center
  • Sunday, April 2nd from 9:45 a.m. to 12 p.m.
  • "A twist on your typical Easter egg Hunt with a pool full of plastic eggs for participants to collect, with raffles, arts and crafts and goodie bags.
    Two age groups, each with a hunt and free swim time."

  • "Easter Bunny will greet all! Robins Fire Department & Robins Police Department will be there too! Children's area for those 3yr and younger!"

Ely Easter Egg Hunt

  • Ely Community Center
  • Saturday, April 8th at 10 a.m.
  • "The Easter Bunny, sponsored by the Ely Public Library, will be in attendance for photo opportunities. Attendees are asked to bring a bag or bucket to collect their eggs."

Adult Easter Egg Hunt

  • Tin Roost, North Liberty
  • Saturday, April 8th at 11 a.m.
  • "Bring your own basket/bag to search for eggs hidden around the patio and lawn. Win awesome prizes varying from candy, free booze, merchandise, etc. Or maybe you will find a golden egg filled with an extra special prize!"
