The Iowa Men's Basketball Team defeated Nebraska last night at Carver Hawkeye Arena 76-66 and improved to 12-3, 3-0 in the Big Ten. After a sluggish start and falling behind 10-0, the Hawks clawed their way back to a 31-22 halftime lead.

The sluggish start continued in the 2nd half as Nebraska started their rally. Iowa took control just past the 10 minute mark of the 2nd half with a 9-0 run to lead 63-48 with 7:15 left.

Iowa was led by Cedar Rapids Jefferson Alum. Jarrod Uthoff with 25 points, eight rebounds and four blocks. Mike Gesell had his first double-double with 22 points and 10 assists.

The Hawks will have 8 days off now until their next game at Michigan State, Jan 14th. That game will be on ESPN with the tip at 6PM.
