Running a marathon is an amazing feat. Imagine doing that five days in a row... that's only part of what this guy did. Incredible!

Last week, Donald Robinson competed in the USA Ultra Triathlon quintuple anvil in the state of Virginia. Just 'quintuple anvil' sounds scary to me. Wait 'til you hear exactly what that consists of.

Each day, for five consecutive days, Robinson had to swim 2.4 miles, bike 112-miles, and run a 26.22-mile marathon. Add all of that together, and Robinson swam 12 miles, biked 560 miles, and ran 131 miles. A grand total of 703 miles in five days. Does that make our day jobs seem simple, or what?

Robinson, 52, of Ankeny, Iowa, completed the 5-day super feat of fitness with a ton of consistency. His two fastest days were actually days four and five, which he completed in just over 12 hours 50 minutes and just under 12 hours 58 minutes, respectively. His total time for the five days was 67 hours, 15 minutes, and 49 seconds, nearly 18 hours ahead of the person who finished second.

An incredible drive led Robinson to put himself through rigorous training and five days of what had to be torture. He previously wasn't able to complete a two-day triathlon, which motivated Robinson to begin training this spring for the quintuple anvil. He told KCCI,

I had that failure, and I didn't want to do it again, I didn't want to face the race director, face myself, the next day knowing that I didn't put the best effort out there. And that's why I did what I did to do that.

Like I said at the beginning... incredible!
