Hy-Vee Now Offering Rapid COVID-19 Tests

In a press release, Hy-Vee announced they're now offering rapid antigen COVID-19 testing at 47 Hy-Vee pharmacy locations outdoors via the store's pharmacy drive-thru.

The first 18 locations have begun testing with 28 more locations set to begin testing over the next two weeks. Patients will receive same-day test results in as little as 1-2 hours after completing the test, Hy-Vee says. Unlike the current testing at most Hy-Vee locations, this COVID test will not be without cost. The cost for the test varies by location, and at this time, no amounts have been given.

The tests will be available beginning Monday, December 14 at the Edgewood Road (5050 Edgewood Road NE) and Mount Vernon Road Hy-Vee (4035 Mount Vernon Road SE) beginning Monday, December 14. The Iowa City Hy-Vee location at 1201 North Dodge Street started doing the rapid tests on Thursday, December 10.
