Here's the Locations of Cedar Rapids Traffic Cameras

Back in operation since July 1, the Cedar Rapids traffic cameras issued over 4600 tickets in just the first week of July. That's a lot of money and a lot of lawbreakers.

SLOW DOWN and here's where the cameras are:

RED LIGHT CAMERAS:

1st Avenue and 10th Street East, both Eastbound/Westbound

I-380 Northbound at Diagonal Drive SW

For the record, CBS2 News reports:

574 drivers were caught going 26-30 MPH over the speed limit - and at $500 a pop this equals $287,000 in fines.

Another 2131 speeders were ticketed going 21-25 MPH over the speed limit. and at $250 for each ticket, that $532,750 for the city.

Yep, it pays to slow down.
