New Bar & Restaurant in Tiffin Offers Pool Tables and Volleyball

The restaurant news just keeps on coming!

In the past week, we've told you about several new restaurants here in the Corridor, including Lincoln Lounge & Supper Club in Cedar Rapids, Polanco Mexican Restaurant in Cedar Rapids, Minnie's BBQ in Cedar Rapids, Vos Que Queréis in Fairfax, Shellsburg Speakeasy and Otis’ Saloon, and Flip N Fizz in Cedar Rapids. Now, we have news about another one in Johnson County, and it's actually already open for business! Let us introduce you to Tiffin Iron Tap.

News about Tiffin Iron Tap first arrived in May with the addition of a new Facebook page for the business. Located at 607 E Marengo Rd in Tiffin, the new bar & restaurant has taken over the former Back Berner Bar & Grill, which closed its doors at the end of February this year. The new owners have been hard at work making some renovations to the building over the past few months.

Tiffin Iron Tap hasn't posted a food menu just yet, but they have mentioned that they offer a great selection of whiskey. They also have pool tables, dart boards, a golf simulator, cornhole, and an outdoor volleyball court. You can get more information on their new women's and co-ed pool leagues HERE.

Tiffin Iron Tap held its official grand opening on Monday, August 17th, and they're asking customers to remember that they are a new business, so it may take some time to get into the swing of things. A Facebook post from the business reads:

"As we get started, we kindly ask for your patience and understanding with our staff. As our team is learning, adjusting, and getting comfortable with everything. If we get busy, there may be a wait for a table, food, or drinks. We promise our staff is working hard to take care of everyone and provide the best experience possible. Please be patient, be kind, and give our team a little grace as we get into our rhythm."

For the remainder of August, Tiffin Iron Tap's hours are Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday & Saturday from 11 a.m. to midnight, with the last call for food at 9:30 p.m. For more updates on the new bar & restaurant, you can follow the Facebook page HERE.
