New Cedar Rapids Restaurant Will Serve Smashburgers & Dirty Sodas

Ahead of their grand opening, Flip N Fizz has changed their name! The restaurant will now be known as Smash N Fizz. The update on the restaurant's Facebook page reads:

"Due to a name issue, Flip n Fizz is officially becoming SMASH N FIZZ! New name, same concept, same great food & drinks, same crew! We’re still bringing you fresh smash burgers, hand-cut fries, dirty sodas, coffees, matchas & more!"

Smash N Fizz is expected to open within the next few weeks.

A new restaurant called Flip N Fizz is coming to Cedar Rapids! Signage has appeared for the new eatery at 1500 20th St SW.

About Flip N Fizz

According to the Facebook page, Flip N Fizz is a new restaurant that describes itself as "your new go-to spot for bold, refreshing dirty sodas and crave-worthy smashburgers made fresh and packed with flavor." The menu will consist of fresh-ground burgers, hand-cut fries, signature dirty sodas, iced coffee, matcha, and more.

If you're not familiar with "dirty sodas," they're a trendy type of beverage that has been popping up everywhere over the last few years, thanks to social media and reality TV. Flip N Fizz's website explains that they consist of "a refreshing soda base loaded with flavor syrups, creams, and fun mix-ins." While Flip N Fizz will have their own signature creations, dirty sodas can also be customized. We don't have a lot of additional information about Flip N Fizz just yet, but they have confirmed that there is an app that customers will be able to download and use to place online orders.
