Elderly Man Rescued From Water in Marion
Around 5:30 on Monday, May 8 the Marion Fire Department received a report of a potential drowning near Central Avenue and the Indian Creek bridge in Marion, according to a press release from the department.
An elderly man had apparently fallen from the walking trail and into the creek. Luckily Nathan Rompot, an off-duty Marion firefighter/paramedic, was there to attend to the man. Fire and ambulance crews arrived within minutes to further treat the man, who appeared to only suffer minor injuries. The name of the elderly gentleman has not been released.
Nice work by area responders!
