A New Supper Club and a Cafe Are Coming Soon to Marion

If you've been wondering what's going into the brand new building next to Daisy's Garage off of Highway 151 in Marion, we now have the answer!

Just yesterday (June 17th), Daisy's Garage announced on Facebook that not one, but TWO restaurants will be moving in to the neighboring building on Carlson Way. One of them is brand new, and the other is a second location for an already established Cedar Rapids business. Here's a quick rundown of what we know about each of the eateries so far:

Supper Club

The first revelation from Daisy's Garage was the addition of a new supper club, seemingly named 151 Supper Club. The announcement reads:

"We’re excited to announce that a brand-new supper club is coming to town! This is just the beginning—stay tuned for updates, sneak peeks, and opening details coming soon!"

Aside from a rendering of what the outside of the building will look like and a few construction photos, 151 Supper Club is currently a bit of a mystery. There are a lot of questions about the restaurant in the comments section of the Facebook announcement: will there be a salad bar? Grasshoppers like The Lighthouse used to serve? A party room? Old-school supper club vibes? As of right now, we don't have the answers to any of these questions, but hopefully we'll get some soon!

Cruz's Cafe

The second announcement from Daisy's Garage is the expansion of another one of their area restaurants. The post reads:

"Also, we are excited to announce our second location of Cruz’s Cafe will be opening soon as well in Marion next to our new supper club!"

Cruz's Cafe first opened in the former Riley's Cafe at 568 Boyson Road NE in the fall of 2021. It's open daily from 6:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. for breakfast and lunch, with breakfast available all day. The menu consists of appetizers, sandwiches & wraps, burgers, eggs benedict, pancakes, shipwrecks, omelettes, and more. There are also a few vegan breakfast options, too.
