Last Friday, gunfire erupted inside a Cedar Rapids hotel, injuring six people including a 13-year-old. Three days later, Cedar Rapids police are expressing their frustrations as both witnesses and victims are refusing to cooperate with authorities, according to The Cedar Rapids Gazette.

Police were called to the Ramada by Wyndham off of 33rd Ave in Cedar Rapids last Friday at around 10:30 p.m. After arriving, police found three people had been injured, one seriously. The Gazette reports that all three were transported to local hospitals. Another three people were also injured and taken to hospitals in personal vehicles. Authorities say the shooting broke out at a birthday party in one of the conference rooms at the hotel. They are unsure if there was more than one shooter.

Police tell The Gazette that it is safe to assume that the shooter or shooters were attending the event and knew the victims, although no one has stepped forward with any such information. Investigators are attempting to get surveillance video from the hotel but have run into technical difficulties. Police expect to have the footage by later today.

Cedar Rapids Police Cheif Wayne Jerman told The Gazette that "there are people out on the street that should not be in our community". Jerman went on to say that he finds it "very concerning" that the 13-year-old boy injured in the shooting has yet to cooperate with the police. Officials say they are still trying to contact the boy's parents.

Police are asking anyone with information in this case to please call 319-286-5491.

Roseanne Barr Abandoned Iowa Mansion in Eldon, IA

I fell into a rabbit hole when I found out that Roseanne Barr almost had a mansion in Iowa. After seeing the current state of the property on Facebook, I was amazed that such an extravagant project could be so quickly overtaken by nature. Only two hours away from Waterloo, this abandoned field could have hosted some of the coolest and elite Hollywood parties in the Midwest. The current photos were taken by Gable Fry on a recent trip he took.
