
Cedar Rapids Named 4th Best City For St. Patrick’s Day Celebrations
As if St. Patrick's Day falling on a Friday wasn't going to be reason enough to celebrate! The city of Cedar Rapids has come in 4th on a list of cities with the best St. Patrick's Day celebrations!
Wallethub ranked 200 cities in the U.S. Buffalo, N.Y. topped the list followed by Madison, WI, Boston and then Cedar Rapids. Cedar Rapids ranked #1 for safety and 14th for traditions. However, it came in 69th for cost and 150th for weather.
The study also found that Cedar Rapids had the 3rd highest percentage of the population that is Irish, and the fewest DUI related fatalities per capita.
Take in all the festivities of St. Patrick's Day at the 42nd annual SAPADAPASO Parade in downtown Cedar Rapids. The parade begins at 1 p.m. We'll see you there with our green on!
