Cedar Rapids Bar Changing Hands After 17 Years
Late last month, Prime Time Sports Bar announced on their Facebook page that after 17 years, they were going out of business due to the retirement of the owner and sale of the business.
Their last day in business was to be March 16, according to the message. It turned out they closed earlier and when they did, the new owners went to work. The former Prime Time Sports Bar on Center Point Road NE in Cedar Rapids won't be closed long and The Local Craft Ale House is set to open in its place.
The new owners have been doing a ton of work on the interior of the building, as you can see from the pictures and video below. They'll have 16 Iowa beers on tap and four chefs have already been hired which should tell you a little something about this place. Sure it'll be about the beer, but it'll also be about the food.
The Local Craft Ale House is scheduled to open Monday, April 1 at 11 a.m.... and that's no joke.
