Chrome Horse To Open New Location In Old Neighborhood! [VIDEO]

The Chrome Horse Saloon is coming back to NewBo!  Derrek Collins, Chrome Horse Manager, told me they are adding a new location at 1201 Third Street SE, right across from their old building.

As most of you know, a fire on July 23rd, 2014 forced them to move out of that location. About a year later, the Chrome Horse reopened on Blairs Ferry Road at the old Fieldhouse location on the north side of Cedar Rapids. While business has been doing well, we both know the vibe just wasn't the same.

Well, now that it's official that Chrome Horse Saloon will be opening in the old neighborhood. What's your best memory of the old place in the NewBo District?

I remember the stage, the drinks, the great food, the employees, the décor and of course, all of the motorcycles. Who can forget the outdoor concerts in the parking lot? It'll be nice to have that piece of history back in the NewBo District.

But, the big question is, when? That's why I caught up with Derrek earlier today to find out when the new location will be open. Check out the video clip below!
