FIBA World Cup Qualifying Begins Today

The FIBA World Cup Qualifying tournament gets underway today in Puerto Rico. It will be Caitlin Clark's return to the basketball court in a competitive game, and her first game as a member of the women's senior national team. Hawk Central reports that Clark and Team USA will play Senegal this afternoon.

Where Can The Games Be Seen?

Hawk Central reports that Team USA will have its games televised by TNT, TBS, and TruTV. HBO Max will stream all of the games, too. Here is the full schedule of games.

  • USA vs. Senegal: Wednesday, March 11 at 4 p.m. CT.
  • USA vs. Puerto Rico: Thursday, March 12 at 7 p.m. CT.
  • USA vs. Italy: Saturday, March 14 at 4 p.m. CT
  • USA vs. New Zealand: Sunday, March 15 at 1 p.m. CT
  • USA vs. Spain: Tuesday, March 27 at 2 p.m. CT.

Team USA Roster Features Some Big Names

Caitlin Clark isn't the only star player making their debut on Team USA. Hawk Central also reports that Angel Reese, Paige Bueckers, Sonia Citron, and Kiki Iriafen will also make their national team debuts.

Team USA has already qualified for the World Cup, which will be played in Germany this September, according to Hawk Central. But the team still wanted to play in the qualifying tournament, so younger players could get game experience. It should also benefit Clark, who missed most of the 2025 WNBA season due to injury.

Team USA plays Senegal today at 4 p.m.
