The wait is finally over. Caitlin Clark got to introduce her first signature shoe from Nike on Wednesday afternoon. Mind you, she signed with Nike FIVE years ago while at the University of Iowa. This is her THIRD year in the WNBA! What took so long, Nike? But as ESPN reports, Clark stated yesterday, "This is like your debut album, you want it to be killer." I, for one, think it was worth the wait.

When Will the Caitlin Clark 1 Hit Stores?

We waited this long for the shoe, so get ready to wait a bit longer. ESPN reports that the Caitlin Clark 1 will be available for purchase on October 1st. It will retail in the U.S. for $140 and come in several different colorways. The blue version was the only image released on Wednesday. ESPN reports that Clark was intricately involved in the design of the shoe, and it reportedly features numerous easter eggs about her basketball career.

The show also uses new 'Nike Opticast' technology to reduce drag and enhance on-court movement, according to ESPN.

ESPN notes that Clark becomes the fifth active WNBA player to have a signature shoe, joining Angel Reese, Breanna Stewart, Sabrina Ionescu, and A'Ja Wilson.
