This was the vacation to end all vacations. Seven people and one dog in a minivan driving to the West Coast. Yes, I said driving. Three days out and three days back. Oh, and some sightseeing in Seattle rammed in between. I had some reservations about the trip before we left. But looking back, this was one of the most amazing trips I've ever been on.

Let's start off with the states we visited. Minnesota, South Dakota, Wyoming, Montana, Idaho, Washington, and Oregon. Yes, seven states. Not bad for a summer vacation checklist. We saw the prairies, the black hills, the mountains, and the Pacific Ocean. We saw miles and miles of nothing, and we saw the hectic city life of Seattle. It was quite the contrast. But the scenery was unforgettable. We made a quick stop in the Black Hills of South Dakota to see Mount Rushmore. We revealed in the beauty of The Badlands. The skies of Montana took our breath away. And the mountains were snow-capped and majestic. Here are just a few of the photos from the craziest family vacation ever!
