Brain & Courtlin Unveil Their 2023 Halloween Costumes

GET OUT OF MY SWAMP!

For the past eight years, Brain and I have been celebrating Halloween with some fun partner costumes. I typically come up with the costume idea, and then Brain half-heartedly agrees to wear whatever I tell him to. I was a little worried that this would be the year that he shut me down, but thankfully he didn't.

Before we show off this year's partner costume, let's run down our Halloween history:

2016: Mermaid Man & Barnacle Boy

Without further ado, our 2023 costumes are...

SHREK & DONKEY!

As you can see, I wasn't able to get Brain to paint his face green, but I definitely tried my hardest to convince him. One of these years I'll get him.

The original Shrek movie came out back in 2001 and it is easily my favorite animated movie of all time. I watched it over and over again for YEARS, which means I can still recite most of the movie quotes. It is definitely a classic in my family.

If you're wondering if I already have our costumes picked out for next year, the answer is... kind of! I definitely have a few ideas that I would love to try in 2024. We will just have to wait and see what happens!
