Saturday is the day. The day of the extra special Iowa Wave inside Kinnick Stadium. Country singer Pat Green will be joined in the south end zone by select members of the University of Iowa and University of Northern Iowa marching bands during halftime. The remainder of each band will be on the field creating images for the kids looking down from the University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital.

Pat Green has been in eastern Iowa all week. He arrived Monday night and made an appearance at Kirk Ferentz's weekly press conference Tuesday afternoon. He and his team have also spent a lot of time prepping for Saturday night. Here's a short video of one of their rehearsals this week:

If you're tailgating around Kinnick Stadium tomorrow, don't be surprised if you hear Pat's voice. He and both bands will be conducting final rehearsals ahead of tomorrow night's 6:30 kickoff on Big Ten Network.

If you're not one of the 69,250 people lucky enough to have a ticket for Saturday night's sold-out game, don't leave your couch at halftime. There's a definite possibility that Big Ten Network will show it live and, if they do, you're not gonna want to miss it. Make sure you have a box of tissues nearby, though. If Kinnick Stadium runs out of napkins Saturday night, we'll know why. I'll probably grab a few on my way in.
